How price-drop alerts work

Updated 2026-10-22 Β· General information, not legal or financial advice. Rules change β€” check official sources linked below.

A price-drop alert watches an event for you and emails you when the all-in price β€” including fees β€” reaches a target you choose. An on-sale alert tells you when new tickets are released.

How it works

  1. You choose an event, artist or team and the all-in price per ticket you’re willing to pay.
  2. We re-check sellers regularly and calculate the all-in price for each listing.
  3. When a listing meets your target, we send one email with a link to compare prices on SolaceTix.

Because we compare all-in prices, an alert won’t trigger for a listing that looks cheap but has big fees added at checkout.

Picking a sensible target

  • Look at the price history on the event page to see the recent range.
  • Targets near the recent low are more realistic than half the current price.
  • Remember the quantity: per-ticket prices can be higher for pairs than singles.
  • For very high-demand events, prices may never fall to your target. Decide in advance how long you’re willing to wait.

Limits β€” honestly

  • Prices can move between our check and your click. Always confirm the total on the seller’s site.
  • Alerts aren’t reservations. Cheap listings can sell within minutes.
  • Prices can go up as well as down. An alert can’t make a price fall.
